Homophobic slurs were spray painted on properties in Falmouth in the latest spate of vandalism sweeping the town.
The offending language was branded on houses in Tregenver Road and Trescobeas Road.
A brand-new Range Rover was also targeted in the mindless act, which is thought to have taken place in the early hours of Easter Monday.
One of the affected residents of Tregenver Road, who did not want to be named, said that her initial reaction was one of anger, and that her husband is "gutted" about his new Range Rover being vandalised.
She said: "We have only had the car for a week, it's a new one. It's going to cost us a lot of money, I imagine it will affect next year's insurance premium.
"I can't understand how nobody heard or saw anything because people are home when there's all that going on."
Last month, police put out an appeal for information relating to vandalism in the same area.
Police confirmed that they are investigating this latest incident.
A spokesperson said: "Police are investigating a number of reports of criminal damage in Falmouth.
"It was reported that a number of properties and cars had been spray painted between Sunday 21 and Monday 22 April on Tregenver Road.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/035182/19."
The content of what was written in the graffiti was not reported to police.
