A FALMOUTH man who admitted three charges of criminal damage has been given a two-year conditional discharge.

Appearing before Truro magistrates last week, Michael David George Carruthers pleaded guilty to one offence on October 10 and two on November 5.

The first incident took place in St Austell, when the 27 year-old destroyed a pane of glass to the value of £107.42 belonging to Cosgarne Hall.

The following two offences were committed in Truro, when he damaged a silver Volkswagen Jetta and a silver Renault Traffic.

Carruthers, of Dracaena Avenue, was ordered to pay compensation of £107.42 for the first offence, £75 for damage to the Volkswagen and £200 for the Renault.

DRIVING while under the influence of drugs on two separate occasions has resulted in a ban for a Helston man.

Jack Ben Norman, aged 27, of Borlase Close, admitted having cannabis in his blood when driving a silver Skoda Octavia in Hayle on December 18.

On November 23, he admitted the same offence in Truro and also possession of cannabis.

He was disqualified for 20 months and fined £219. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A TEENAGER drove without due care and attention.

Connor Liam Sharkey, aged 18, of Cades Parc, Helston, admitted committing the offence in a white Fiat Panda in Porthleven on October 8.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

A WOMAN admitted two offences of possessing a Class A drug.

Michelle Leigh Veasey, aged 39, c/o Vale View Terrace, Ponsanooth, was in possession of diamorphine in Falmouth on June 23 and again in Penryn on August 6.

She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge. There was no order for costs due to her lack of means.

A BREAGE woman drove when she was more than twice over the legal limit.

Frances Mary Walsh, aged 48, of Pellor Road, admitted committing the offence on February 2 on Wheal Alfred Road in Hayle.

Walsh, who had 166mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood, was banned from the roads for 17 months and fined £120. The legal limit is 80mgs. She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A LITHUANIAN man who was more than three times the legal drink drive limit has been given a community order.

Nerijus Kandrotas, aged 35, of Pools Court, Hayle, admitted committing the offence in a VW Passat in the town's Commercial Road car park on April 6.

He had 108mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was banned from the roads for 25 months and placed under 12-week electronic curfew. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

DRIVING whilst under the influence of alcohol has resulted in a ban for a Ponsanooth woman.

Pattie Knights, aged 49, of St Michael's Road, admitted committing the offence in a black Peugeot 308 on the A394 at Sithney Common Hill, on April 6.

She was disqualified for 20 months and fined £120. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A HELSTON man obtained housing benefit by making a dishonest statement or representation to Cornwall Council.

Paul Anthony Symons, aged 54, of Trevenen Road, admitted committing the offence on January 20, 2014.

He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

ASSAULTING a police officer and resisting him in the execution of his duty resulted in a fine for a Helston man.

Andrew Kenneth Bright, aged 47, of Sanctuary Lane, admitted committing the offences in Helston on April 6.

He was fined £416 and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £41 victim surcharge.

A PRAA SANDS man has admitted assault and possession of amphetamine.

Jacob King, aged 32, of Pengersick Estate, admitted committing the offences on December 22.

The drugs offence took place in Camborne, while the assault happened in Helston.

He was fined £540 and ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and £54 victim surcharge.

A MAN who used threatening or abusive words or behaviour has been given a 12-month conditional discharge.

David Ian Croxford, aged 39, of Falmouth Road, Redruth, admitted committing the offence on April 4.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

DESTROYING a mobile phone and damaging a car resulted in a court appearance for an Illogan man.

Peter Douglas Joseph Percy Ellis, aged 37, of Paynters Lane End, admitted committing the offences in Redruth on April 6.

The value of the phone damage was £60, while the value of the damage to the car was £200.

He was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
