Traffic is "at a standstill" on one of the main routes to and from Helston this afternoon due to traffic lights replacement.
There are three-way queues on the Penzance Road and at St Johns, while work is carried out on the traffic lights at the junction near Lidl.
The existing lights are being removed, with new signals put back in their place.
In the meantime, three-way temporary lights have been set up - and they are causing major problems.
One witness described it as "hell up" this lunchtime, saying only a few cars were being let through every light change.
"Traffic is at a standstill for ages," he added.
