A 12-mile diversion will be in place while the A39 is closed between Penryn and Truro next week.
Commuters have been advised to travel by way of the A30 at Redruth whilst the road is closed for maintenance work.
The road will be closed overnight in sections from 7pm on Monday May 20, reopening fully on Friday night (May 24) .
Traffic will be diverted via the A393, A30 and A390.
On Monday night, the road will be closed between Treluswell Roundabout and the Perranwell turning, and traffic lights will be in place at Playing Place roundabouts.
On Tuesday, the road between Perranwell and the Devoran roundabout will be closed and traffic lights up at Playing Place roundabouts.
On Wednesday, Carnon Downs roundabout to Playing Place roundabouts will be closed, and on Thursday night the stretch of road between Playing Place roundabouts and Arch Hill will be closed.
