A MAN whose dog worried livestock has received a heavy financial penalty from Truro magistrates.

Adam James Grace, of Penwerris Road, Truro, pleaded guilty to four charges concerning a farm at Kehelland, near Camborne.

His dog worried sheep at Trevorrian Barton Farm on October 21 and 22, also on November 15 and April 5.

He was fined £250 for each offence - giving a total of £1,000 - and he was ordered to pay compensation of £2,571.

The 39 year-old was also ordered to pay £135 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

The offences were contrary to Sections 1 and 6 of the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953.

A SEX offender from Falmouth failed to notify the court of a change of address.

Connor Couch, aged 23, of Pellew Road, failed without reasonable excuse to tell the court between April 16 and April 23.

It contravened Section 80 of the Sex Offences Act 2003, which states that any change of address should be declared within three days of the change.

Couch was given a community order, requiring him to be electronically monitored for six months and subject to a curfew.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A ST MAWES man who assaulted a woman has been given a conditional discharge by Truro magistrates.

Samuel James Austin, aged 23, of Percuil View, admitted committing the offence in Truro on April 6.

He was discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £48.50 compensation, £115 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

A 31 year-old drink driver has been banned from the roads for three years.

Brendan Leigh Giles, of Croft Parc, The Lizard, admitted committing the offence in a Volvo on the A394 at Retanna, on April 18.

He had 41mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

A COMMUNITY order has been imposed on a 23 year-old who drove dangerously in Truro.

Jack Martyn Dunstan, of Malabar Road, admitted committing the offence on October 8 in a Volkswagen Polo on River Street.

He will be electronically monitored for 18 weeks and was ordered to pay £459 compensation.

Dunstan was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £135 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A MAN who entered Superdrug in Redruth with intent to steal has appeared before Truro magistrates.

Ashley Mark Pearce, aged 28, of Calumet Way, Camborne, admitted committing the offence between September 26 and 28 last year.

He will be electronically monitored for 12 weeks and was ordered to pay £845.98 compensation.

He was also ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £50 costs.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 18 months.

Alison Gibb, aged 60, of Trevarth Terrace, Redruth, admitted committing the offence on April 20 in a BMW 420 on Tolcarne Road, St Day.

She had 67mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A CAMBORNE man drove whilst over the legal alcohol limit.

Mark Anthony Gibson, aged 36, of Weeth Close, admitted driving a white Audi in St Ives on April 24.

He had 62mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified for 40 months and fined £461. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £46 victim surcharge.

A 24 year-old woman has been banned from the roads for drink driving.

Samantha Imogen Watson, of East End, Redruth, admitted committing the offence on Lanner Hill in a Mini Cooper, on February 19.

She had 191mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mgs.

She was disqualified for 20 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN who assaulted a female PCSO has appeared before magistrates.

Lisa Gray, aged 34, of Droskyn Point, Goonhavern, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in Truro on April 29.

She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £20 victim surcharge.

ASSAULTING a police officer has resulted in a fine for a Redruth man.

Adam Littlejohns, aged 32, of Edmond Road, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on April 28 in Pool.

He also admitted resisting the officer in the execution of his duty.

Littlejohns was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
