Holiday letting agency Cornish Holiday Cottages has appointed two new members to join its team in Mawnan Smith.

The Falmouth area holiday accommodation specialist has welcomed Elizabeth Abnett as senior administrator and Alexander Burton as marketing assistant.

The pair will help the company grow and provide the very best service for holidaymakers and property owners at the 88 cottages, houses and apartments it represents in Falmouth and the surrounding beaches and villages.

Elizabeth Abnett brings a wealth of customer service and hospitality experience, most recently from her post at the Meudon Hotel in Falmouth.

With his strong creative abilities and degree in Photography, Alexander Burton will bring a fresh new approach to the marketing role.

Cornish Holiday Cottages’ managing director Emily Boriosi said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome these two new members to our family in Falmouth. They’re both taking on key roles within the company and will help us deliver an outstanding service for property owners and fantastic holidays for guests.”

The new recruits will work full-time in the Cornish Holiday Cottages office on The Square in Mawnan Smith, just outside the popular holiday town of Falmouth.

The pair step into the shoes of two team members who are leaving the company after many years of service.

The team says farewell this month to Dawn Thompson who is retiring after 12 years working as Senior Administrator at Cornish Holiday Cottages. Becca Lazar, Assistant Marketing Manager for five-and-a-half years, is moving on to pursue her foodie passion with an exciting new role at Chocolarder in Ponsanooth.

Emily Boriosi commented: “It is sad to see these much loved team members leave us. They’ve both been with us for a very long time and have been central to the success of the business in recent years. We wish them the best of luck as they embark on the next chapters of their lives.”
