A weekend of classes and treatments is set to raise much-needed funds for local women’s charities.

All the proceeds will go to the Penzance Women’s Aid local refuge and The Susie Project, which supports survivors of domestic abuse.

Organiser Johanna Graham said: “This will be a great day for any woman who wants to try out new therapies and classes.

“Please support this event and these wonderful charities any way that you are able.”

The weekend is split into two days with two different focuses.

The first focus is on empowering and nurturing women, with classes featuring a cacao goddess ceremony and free form intuitive dance.

These classes have a suggested donation of £5 per class, or £20 for the whole day, with seven classes taking place.

The second day is a day of therapy tasters donated by women therapists, with deep healing and sound therapy taking place.

The suggested donation for these classes is £10 for thirty minutes.

Johanna added: “I’d like to offer big thanks for the women who have donated their time for this weekend including Anne Marie Le Seve, Kerry Tomlins, Emma Bohadana, Maria Stayne, Alison Fleming, Elena West and Lucy Aldridge.”

If you are not able to attend the event, donations of food or clothes to the local refuge are still welcome.

The event will be held at Inner Space, Newlyn, this weekend (June 8 -9).
