A FALMOUTH man was given a suspended prison sentence for drink driving whilst disqualified.

Daniel Ian Julyan, 31, of Trevethan Road, drove in St Austell on April 14 with 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath, when the legal limit is 35.

He pleaded guilty to one drink driving charge and another for driving whilst disqualified, and was given two eight-week prison sentences, suspended for 12 months, to run concurrently.

He has also been disqualified from holding a licence for a further four years, and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85.

A FALMOUTH man was fined for not having valid car insurance.

Phillip Wood, of Tresawle Road, denied the offence, but was found guilty and fined £220.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £110.

A PONSANOOTH man was fined for driving under the influence of cannabis without a valid insurance policy, licence or MOT certificate.

Brian Cocks, 34, of Laity Moor Road, pleaded guilty to four offences that took place on December 18 2018 in Hayle.

He was fined £300 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

He has also been disqualified from driving for 12 months.

A MAN from Truro was fined for drink driving.

Ben David Slater, 27, of Treverbyn Road, drove with 64 microgrammes of alcohol in his breath, when the legal limit is 35.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at Bodmin Magistrates Court, and was fined £120. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

Slater was disqualified from holding a licence for 18 months, to be reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course by June 1 2020.
