A brand new outdoor gym and fitness centre will be officially opened by Falmouth's mayor on Friday (June 14) at 1.30pm.
The facilities were built after a public consultation showed overwhelming support for an outdoor fitness centre.
The high-quality equipment features a hydraulic system that can be adjusted to various levels of resistance so that users of all strength levels and abilities can benefit from it.
It is also fully accessible and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant.
Simon Penna, Falmouth Town Council's grounds and facilities manager, said that the outdoor gym is only the first phase of a project that will eventually include a parkour course when funds become available.
The outdoor gym is one of several projects that have been underway at Dracaena Fields (including the Falmouth skatepark) since the land was devolved to Falmouth Town Council in 2017.
