THE opening date for Cornwall’s latest trampoline park has been revealed.

Newquay Trampoline Park, which is situated next to Waterworld, is set to open its doors on July 19.

The attraction is being built by GLL, the company which operates leisure centres in Cornwall under a contract with Cornwall Council.

Details about the opening have been included in a presentation which is being made to councillors about the leisure services contract.

It reveals that GLL has invested £2.8 million into the new trampoline park and play park in Newquay.

The presentation states: “This facility will provide a new leisure offer to the people in Cornwall that will provide a fun environment for people of all ages.”

It then states that the opening date is planned to be Friday, July 19 “in time for the peak season”.

Plans to build the trampoline park were first revealed in April last year and in May 2018 Cornwall Council granted planning permission for the new centre.

Planning permission was granted despite a number of locals raising objections as it would lead to the loss of open space which was used regularly by dog walkers and families.

As well as trampoline facilities the park will also have a cafe, party rooms, a viewing area and a kitchen.
