THE family of a Redruth woman who died in a car crash earlier this week have paid tribute to her.

Michele Lorain Dickens, aged 60, passed away at the scene of the collision on the B3277 near Chiverton Cross.

Her family said: “Our daughter Michele was tragically killed in a vehicle road accident whilst on her journey home to Skinners Bottom.

"Michele, the eldest of our four children, leaves behind her partner of 25 years, Christopher Earl.

“Well known and much loved by her friends and family, Michele, up until recently, worked as a podiatrist for the NHS.

“As a fun loving woman with a generous non-judgemental nature, she had a wide social circle of friends.

"Always ready to help others she was a bright light that in our hearts will never be dimmed by time but remembered with affection and joy for the very gift of her being”.

Police, fire and ambulance were called just before 1.30pm on Monday following the collision between Michele's Vauxhall Astra and a Mazda MX5.

The driver of the Mazda, a 59-year-old man from Doncaster, sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

The passenger, a 50-year-old local man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Treliske Hospital as a precaution.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 0378 of 24/06/19
