A PUB near Falmouth has been shut down with immediate effect.
The Halfway House, on the main A394 road between Falmouth and Helston, has had its windows boarded over and has not been trading this week.
Bailiffs are believed to have visited the property in connection with non-payment of bills.
The whereabouts of the landlord is unclear at this stage.
Several passers-by have spotted the closed pub and alerted the Packet to the situation.
Pub owners Punch Taverns have been contacted for a comment but a response is not expected for a couple of days.
It is expected to reopen the pub soon, under different management.
