Penryn Week is off to a good start, with the RNLI's Service on the Quay opening proceedings on Sunday and a medley of activities planned right the way through to Saturday's Carnival.
Free children's events in the library and dance performances in the Temperance Hall from Co Act took place today and yesterday.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) there will be an adults colouring session at the library from 10am with all materials provided for free.
A laid-back three to five mile walk will also take place. Walkers will assemble outside Tanya's Courage Trust at 10am weather permitting.
Bingo in the Temperance Hall will cap off Wednesday's events. Eyes down at 7.30pm with a £1 entry fee.
On Thursday there will be a craft session in the library at 10am, a tea tasting afternoon at Earth and Water at 3pm for £5 and an exhibition from Penryn Camera Club will open at the town hall at 9am to run until Saturday night.
Thursday evening will see gamers battle it out for prizes in a Fifa tournament in the Temperance Hall starting at 6pm. Entry is free.
The Friday Market will open at 9am before another walk around Penryn meeting at Tanya's at 10am again unless it rains.
Rosettes and sweets will be given as prizes at the sports evening in College Field starting at 6.30pm on Friday.
Finally, in an exuberant end to the week, Penryn Carnival will set off from the rugby club at 6.30pm on Saturday before the Gig @ Glasney in College Field at 7.15pm.
