Armed police arrested a man who allegedly made threats with a gas-powered handgun yesterday afternoon.
Police were called at around 5.20pm yesterday (Thursday July 11) to a property off Eastwood Road.
They arrested a 35-year-old man who was found with a gas-powered ball bearing handgun and several cannabis plants.
Police are continuing enquiries at the scene this morning.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to an address in Penryn at around 5.20pm yesterday (Thursday 11 July) with reports of a man allegedly making threats with a suspected handgun.
"Units, including armed officers, attended the scene and a man was detained.
"One gas-powered ball bearing handgun was located and seized, along with a number of cannabis plants.
"A 35-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and cultivation of cannabis and remains in police custody.
"Enquiries are continuing at the scene this morning."
