Penryn Dental Practice's reception staff are celebrating 25 years at the company.

Receptionists Kim Long and Nadine Francis will be familiar faces to patients of the practice, and to those who live in the local area.

Joint principal dentist Donal O’Halloran said: “The practice has developed enormously over the past 25 years, with big changes, developments and specialisms to offer our patients the very best care.

"Kim and Nadine are the backbone of this practice, and we couldn’t have done any of it without them. We’re hugely grateful and privileged to have them here. We hope they stay for many more years to come.”

They have worked at the Penryn Dental Practice since the early 1990s, supporting the practice throughout its extensive development and helping it to grow into a reputable practice.

Kim started as a temporary dental nurse, and quickly became an integral part of the team.

Having trained and qualified as a dental nurse in 1980 with the Royal Army Dental Corps attached to Queens Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps, Kim moved from dental nursing to the reception team in 2001.

Nadine joined the practice as a Dental Nurse, moving on to the reception team in 2000.

She completed a Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration and also Health and Safety Level 2, and has kept the whole team organised throughout all the practices developments.

Both Nadine and Kim received vouchers for a weekend stay at the beautiful Watergate Bay Hotel in Newquay, to be enjoyed with their partners, to thank them for their hard work, dedication and loyalty over the last quarter of a century.

Nadine said: “Kim and I were very surprised to receive such a lovely gift. After 25 years at Penryn Dental Practice, both patients and staff feel like an extension to our families. We feel privileged to be part of such a terrific team, working in a beautiful practice and location."
