Falmouth University has been honouring its 2019 graduates this week (July 16 to 19).

Undergraduates and postgraduates have been enjoying celebrating their achievements alongside their peers, friends, families, academics and of course, Chancellor Dawn French.

Every graduate was personally congratulated by Dawn, who presented each of them with a degree scroll and the infamous chocolate coin – the Dawn Doubloon.

During her address to the Class of 2019, Dawn said: “The future of our creative and cultural landscape is in your hands.

"How exciting to be right on the cusp, about to bring your skills and talents into the world.

"Don’t waste time, be curious, fill your life with information and adventure.

"And don’t forget it’s always, ALWAYS jam first!”

Vice-chancellor, Professor Anne Carlisle OBE, said: “As you leave us today, you join the ranks of the Falmouth graduates who have gone before you.

"A diverse, talented, exciting group of people who can be found doing remarkable things across the Creative Industries and beyond.

"Already used to working in a place where creativity and technology meet, you are the visionaries, creators, inventors and explorers who will help us navigate the future challenges that face us.”
