A MAN has died at the scene of a crash on the A30.

Emergency Serivces were alerted to the one-vehicle incident just after 4pm on Sunday involving a black Mitsubishi on Cornwall's main road between Plusha Services and Two Bridges, near Launceston.

It is believed that the collision happened some time during the previous evening on Saturday, July 20. 

The driver, a 25 year old, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision and next of kin have been informed.

The A30 Eastbound carriageway remained closed for approximately four hours whilst a forensic examination of the collision scene was conducted.

The road remained partially closed at 11pm last night to allow Highways England to assess and repair barriers. 

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses who may have seen this vehicle during the evening of Saturday 20th July 2019 to come forward quoting log number 672 of the 21/07/19.
