LEMON Quay will be the place to discover some interesting and unusual items for sale next month with the Truro Antiques and Collectables Market next month.

Locals, residents and visitors will be able to browse and buy lots of different and unique items on the two dates in August.

Items include antiques, vintage clothing, militaria, small furniture, postcards, ceramics, antique and modern jewellery, art, glass, brass, copper, Cornish books, silver, toys and more.

The Truro Antique and Collectables Market, which has been initiated and part-funded by Truro BID, will be outside on Lemon Quay from 9am – 4.30pm on Wednesday, August 7 and 21. It will sit alongside the regular Wednesday Farmers Market.

Alun Jones, Truro BID manager said: “We’re excited to be able to enhance the existing Wednesday market day in Truro with antiques and collectables for two dates in August. We’ve chosen Wednesdays to complement the well-established Farmers Market and hope that the event will be an additional draw to attract both locals and visitors into our great little city.”

As well as Truro City Council, Truro BID has worked with David Pierce who organises Heartlands Antiques & Collectors Fair and Guildhall Collectors Fair in St Ives to bring to the antiques and collectables traders to Truro.
