There was chaos on the A30 and A39 at lunchtime following crashes on both major roundabouts coming into this part of Cornwall.
A crash on A30 near the Carland Cross roundabout had a knock-on effect to the A39 also, with congestion to Three Burrows, Mitchell and Trispen.
Traffic sensors showed the collision taking place on the roundabout, next to the Zippy’s diner and the Shell petrol station.
This has now been cleared and having has returned to normal.
However, the sensors show that the A30 at Chiverton Cross remains partially blocked coming into this evening, with heavy traffic in the surrounding area, due to an accident at A390 side of the roundabout, close to Starbucks.
Drivers are warned to expect delays and to find alternative routes where possible.
