A MAN sent text messages to a woman which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation court order.

John Shearer, aged 52, of Higher Moor, Ruan Minor, appeared before Truro magistrates and pleaded guilty to two offences on July 19 and 23.

He was fined a total of £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver has been disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Andrew John Blackmore, aged 21, of Alma Terrace, Carharrack, admitted committing the offence in a Ford Fiesta on June 22 in Newquay.

He had 69mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.
