Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses to a suspected hit-and-run collision in which a Truro man was killed at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to St Teath at around 1.20am on Sunday 28 July after the body of a man was located on the B3267.

The 31-year-old man from Truro was pronounced deceased at the scene. His injuries were consistent with having been struck by a vehicle.

A 39-year-old man, who is local to the area, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failure to stop. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area prior to the collision, or who may have information or relevant dash cam footage which could assist with the investigation.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a sapphire blue three door Peugeot 206 travelling in the St Teath area on Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 or 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 93 of 28 July.
