A CYCLIST suffered a serious head injury after coming off her bicycle yesterday.
The incident took place in Perranporth at 3.15pm.
South West Ambulance Servces Trust received a call reporting that a pedal cyclist had been injured close to Liskey Hill and Boscawen Road.
A tri-service officer was deployed to the scene by SWAST. Numerous SWAST resources attended the location together with the Air Ambulance.
A female cyclist had received a serious head injury having come off her bike.
She was flown to Derriford Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
SWAST informed Police of the incident 4.29pm. Police officers attended the scene and closed the road for further examination.
Police are requesting that any witnesses with information please contact the police on 101 quoting log reference 705 010819.
