A TRURO man who drove in excess of a 70mph speed limit has been banned from the roads for six months.

Timothy Roger Bowden, aged 41, of Malpas Road, admitted committing the offence on the A30 at Victoria on December 31.

He was also fined £353 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge.

A 48 year-old man who pleaded guilty to assault has been given an 18-month conditional discharge.

Simon Arron Lee, of Trevethenick Road, Malpas, committed the offence on May 29 in Truro.

He was also ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.

DISCLOSING a private sexual photograph or film without the consent has resulted in a court appearance for a 36 year-old man.

Darren Paul McKie, of Greendale View, St Dennis, admitted the disclosure took place in Truro on April 14, with the intention of causing distress to the female subject.

He received an 18-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £250 compensation, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

He also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Truro Magistrates' Court on May 13, for which there was no separate penalty.

A WOMAN who exceeded a 30mph speed limit has been fined £100.

Karen Bailey, aged 56, of Tregenna Court, Penzance, admitted committing the offence in a Volkswagen Golf on February 5, on the old A30 at Blackwater.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

A MAN who sped on the A394 near Helston has been fined.

Ian Boyd-Wallis, aged 38, of Broad Lane, Redruth, admitted committing the offence in a Vauxhall Insignia on February 2.

He was fined £293 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

A 25-year-old man who exceeded a 30mph speed limit in Plymouth has been fined £400.

Joshua David Holberry, of Tregidgeo Farm, admitted committing the offence in a Skoda Fabia on February 2.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £40 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

DRIVING without insurance has resulted in a heavy fine for a 20-year-old man.

James William Triggs, of Edgehill, Porkellis, pleaded guilty to the offence and also admitted driving with a defective rear offside tyre on March 30 in Camborne.

He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £50 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.
