No less than three aerobatic display teams will be flying on Wednesday, August 14, in an hour-long show above Falmouth Bay, beginning at 5.45pm.

Appearing in Falmouth will be The Blades, AeroSuperBatic Wingwalkers and The Strikemaster Pair.

The display has been sponsored by Falmouth Town Council, Falmouth BID, Fal River, Falmouth University, Pendennis Shipyard and Gylly Beach Café.

This will be the second time that The Blades have flown into Falmouth, following a display in 2012.

Now entering their 14th display season with over 25,000 hours of flying between them, the pilots of the world-famous Blades Aerobatic Team are amongst the most experienced display teams in the world, with former RAF Red Arrows pilots at the controls.

The AeroSuperBatic Wingwalkers are the world’s only aerobatic formation wingwalking team, who perform displays including acrobatics and handstands all over the world, whilst strapped to the top wings of Boeing Stearman biplanes from the 1940s, reaching speeds of up to 150mph.

Finally, the Strikemaster Pair will perform routines of close formation and synchronised aerobatics in ex-military classic jets. Important marine, traffic and visitor information for the Falmouth Week Air Show will be released nearer the time via the Falmouth Week printed programme, on the official Falmouth Week social media platforms, on the Falmouth Week website and in the local media.

The air show is subject to weather conditions and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval as usual.
