A popular 1990s dance venue is to be reopened for one night only.

Disappointed Boardmasters fans are being given the chance to still party after it was announced Europe's first surfing magazine will be throwing a gig for 500 people in the secret location tonight.

Newquay party night Cohesion has teamed up with Wavelength Surf Magazine to put on Loose Ends, a last-minute evening of music and drinking in the heart of the town.

It will run from 9pm until 2am, with last entry at 10:30pm.

The event will take up residence for one night only in a reclaimed dance venue with a capacity of 500+, described as being at the centre of Newquay’s party scene back in the 1990s.

Exact details of the venue will reach tickets holders by email on Saturday afternoon.

Cohesion organisers said: “It’s not a house night and it’s not a techno night. Partygoers coming to Loose Ends can expect an eclectic mix of music that spans rare groove, cosmic techno and disco.

"Our ultimate goal is to shift the focus of nights out and bring it back to the roots of dance music by fusing great records, good drinks and better company.”

Music will come from a selection of DJs including Newquay locals OKNOW and Masked Ball mainstays EreWax.

Tickets for Loose Ends cost £10 and are available online at shop.wavelengthmag.com A limited number of tickets will be held at the door costing £15.
