POSSESSING cannabis has resulted in a fine for a Truro man.

Ryan James Bayliss, aged 35, of Kemp Close, admitted possessing 6.2g of the class B drug in Truro on April 19.

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

ASSAULTING a man in Camborne has resulted in a 12-month conditional discharge for a 51-year old man. Frayne Elliott, of Bread Street, Penzance, admitted committing the offence on March 15. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

A man was fined £80 for being drunk and disorderly. Ashley Mark Pearce, aged 28, of Basset Street, admitted committing the offence on July 24. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A 43-year-old woman committed a string of shoplifting offences.

Pamela Jean Saunders, of Kemp Close, Truro, admitted stealing alcohol from Co-op in Boscawen Street on three separate occasions.

She also pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in the city's Victoria Square and causing harassment, alarm or distress.

The offences breached a three-year conditional discharge imposed on April 10, 2017.

She received another three-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs, £21 victim surcharge and £12 compensation.

FAILING to provide a specimen after being suspected of having committed a driving offence has resulted in a ban for a 57-year-old man.

Alan Solomon, of Ennis Farm, Trispen, admitted committing the offence on July 27 at Camborne.

He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 20 months.

Andrew Nicholas Hocking, aged 26, of Penrose Court, Camborne, admitted driving a silver Vauxhall Astra on Station Road, Truro, on February 16.

He had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was fined £525 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £52 victim surcharge.

A PENRYN man who was in charge of a car whilst under the influence of drugs has been banned from the roads.

Adam Anthony Sullivan, aged 20, of Glasney Place, admitted having 3mcgs of cannabis per litre of blood on January 17 in Malpas Road, Truro.

He also admitted possessing 2.624g of cannabis.

Sullivan was given a 12-month conditional discharge and disqualified from driving for 30 days.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A 23-year-old man who drove without insurance has been banned from the roads for six months.

Tadas Stuliginskas, aged 23, of Fraddam Road, Leedstown, admitted committing the offence on March 22 in a Peugeot in Camborne.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge.
