A glass artist held a fundraising event in Falmouth Art Gallery.
Organised by Cornwall Art Galleries, the event involved glass artist Niko Brown creating personalised "Sweet Tweet" pieces for visitors.
A raffle was held to raise funds for diabetes charity JDRF.
A total of £85 was raised and the grand prize of a stunning glass mandela created by Niko was won by delighted visitor to Falmouth Sue.
Director Natalie Trevorrow said: “We would like to thank everyone that took part in the event and for their contributions toward the charity.
“The gallery continues to raise funds for the charity which is close to all members of their team, through donation based sales of their mounting card that is popular among crafters in the town.
“We are surprised how useful people find our off cuts, many students use it for their exhibitions and projects, we have local hobbyists using it for dioramas and artists for their own craft projects, our last collection totalled £75.00.”
JDRF was founded by parents striving to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Funded entirely by donations, the organisation invests in research, advocates for government support of research, helps to find new therapies and connects the type 1 diabetes community.
