A MAN who failed to stop at an accident has appeared before Truro magistrates.

Shane Bailey, aged 51, of Josephs Lane, Heamoor, admitted the offence and also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

The incident took place on March 31 on School Lane Gulval, when Bailey failed to stop despite damage being caused to another vehicle.

He was fined £307 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five points.

DRUNK and disorderly behaviour has resulted in a fine for a Camborne man.

Lee Mervyn Williams Bassett, aged36, of Basset Street, admitted committing the offence on August 5 in Church Lane.

He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

AN ILLOGAN woman has pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Louise Hone, aged 21, of Tregullan, committed the offence on April 1 in a maroon Ford Focus near Halgoss, Tehidy.

She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with nine points.

A WOMAN admitted being drunk in a public place.

Amanda Morris, aged 48, of Edmund Road, Redruth, committed the offence on August 5 in Guilford Road, Hayle.

She was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £21 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 15 months.

Joshua Wilson-Hone, aged 20, of Gwentor Road, Coverack, admitted committing the offence in a blue Fiat Panda on the A3083 at The Lizard, on August 4.

He also admitted possessing a quantity of diamorphine, for which there was no separate penalty.

He had 53mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was also fined £138 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN who drove without insurance has being given an absolute discharge.

Lee-Anne Ingham, aged 41, of Carnon Villa, Perranwell Station, admitted committing the offence on February 19.

However, magistrates did not impose any punishment because the defendant "had a genuine belief that she was insured and was misled as to the position she was in, at the relevant time".

She had been driving a Volkswagen on the M5 at Cullompton.
