A LEEDSTOWN man has been disqualified from driving.

Gediminas Gendvilas, aged 29, of Pauls Green Farm, admitted driving without insurance at Townshend on March 4.

He was banned for six months and fined £120. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A TRURO man who exceeded a 50mph speed limit has been banned from the roads.

Steven Paul Lusty, aged 30, of Midway Drive, admitted committing the offence on April 30, on the A39 at Trispen.

Magistrates disqualified him for six months due to "repeat offending" and fined him £200.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A MAN who failed to comply with the requirements of a community order has been fined £150.

Luke Daniel Thomas, aged 31, of Falmouth Road, Truro, received the order on May 29, 2018 after being convicted of drink driving.

He admitted the breach after failing to attend unpaid work on Sunday, July 14 and each Sunday thereafter.

DRIVING with a defective tyre has resulted in a fine for a Camborne man.

Julian White, aged 51, of Commercial Street, admitted committing the offence on July 9, 2018, on the A30 at Chybucca.

He also admitted driving when not every front position lamp was in good working order, for which there was no separate penalty.

A third offence took place on July 25, 2018, when he admitted exceeding a 40mph speed limit on the A390 in Truro.

He was fined a total of £120 and his driving record was endorsed with six points.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

DAMAGING a police vehicle's windscreen has resulted in a community order for a 34 year-old man.

Neil Alan Woodside, of Dudnance Lane, Redruth, admitted committing the offence in Penzance on August 6.

He has been placed under curfew with electronic monitoring for four weeks and must fulfil a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement.

He was ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge.

A 29 year-old man has been placed under electronic monitoring after damaging property worth almost £3,000.

Remigijus Baltrusaitis, of Binnerton Road, Leedstown, admitted damaging window panes, grating and a ventilation grill to the value of £2,746.87.

He was placed under curfew for four weeks and was made the subject of a restraining order, prohibiting him from contacting the victim's property or entering an address in Penzance.

He was ordered to pay £700, as well as £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Stacey Ann Carder, aged 29, of Kew Breanek, St Agnes, admitted committing the offence in Camborne on August 10.

She was driving an Audi A3 and had 53mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Carder was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £135 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

AN Illogan man drove without insurance, a court heard.

Timothy David Bennetts, aged 39, of Appin Gardens, drove a Land Rover on the A390 Tregolls Road in Truro on April 30.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

DRIVING whilst unfit through drugs has resulted in a community order for a Truro man.

Joshua Mark Daruvalla, aged 29, of Trevithick Close, admitted committing the offence in a white Ford Transit tipper on the A39, finishing in Boscawen Street.

It happened on February 10, when he was also found in possession of 198 tablets of etizolam, 144 tablets of nitrazepam and four tablets of aplrazolam, all of which are Class C drugs.

He was placed under an eight-week curfew with electronic monitoring and banned from driving for 12 months.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge. The drugs were destroyed.

A CAMBORNE man used a hand-held mobile phone while driving.

Darren Scott Pascoe, aged 38, of Penwarne Close, denied the offence but was found guilty by Truro magistrates.

It took place on March 14 at Avers Roundabout, Redruth.

He was fined £115 and ordered to pay £660 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.
