HELSTON Athletic thirds were heavily beaten at home to league leaders Pendeen Rovers, going down 8-1 at Kellaway Park.

Alex Ralph scored five goals for Rovers with Danny Earl completing the rout with a hat-trick of his own. Louis Bell scored the Blues’ consolation.

Pendeen have won all five of their games so far this season, and they moved above Porthleven reserves on goal difference with that victory after the Fishermen’s game at home to Perranporth reserves was postponed.

Penryn Athletic reserves are still unbeaten this season after a slender 2-1 victory at Carharrack, leapfrogging their beaten opponents into fourth as a result. Matt McIlroy replied for Carharrack.

RNAS Culdrose won 2-0 at home to Wendron United thirds. Dan Quirke, who had scored on his Wendron first-team debut the night before, and Joe Paterson netted for the Airmen.

Lizard Argyle put five goals past St Agnes reserves with no reply to earn up their second win of the season. Dagan Vaughan-Spruce scored two, with Williams, Craig Pollard and Evans netting the others.

Elsewhere, St Day reserves finally got off the mark this season with a 2-1 win at Hayle reserves. Matt Wysocki and Chris Dower scored for the Saints.

Ruan Minor’s game at home to Rosudgeon was postponed.

Ruan enjoyed victory on Tuesday night, winning 3-2 at Helston Athletic thirds. Luke Tripconey, Gavin Perraton and Will Trewin scored for the visitors, while Ben Stidwell and Louis Bell replied for the Blues.

Penryn Athletic and RNAS Culdrose played out a 3-3 draw. Keir Dent (2) and Lewis Pellow scored for Penryn.

Ross Atkinson and an own goal ensured Porthleven won 2-1 at home to Marazion.
