TWO fledgling businesses in the Falmouth area are teaming up to host a rum tasting evening later this month.
Mylor-based Blue River Table - who are Charlotte Whyte and Jess Harris - will stage a three-hour cruise with Elle Demaus, the creator of Fal River Distillery, in Mabe.
Guests will be entertained aboard Tethra, the classic converted Cornish fishing boat, which will meander the Fal Estuary whilst Elle delivers a talk about rum, the process of distilling and creating flavours.
The three-course meal will be designed to complement the maple, oak and rosemary infused rum and there will also be a selection of new cocktail mixes to try.
The event is on Saturday, September 21 and there are still some places available. It is from 5pm-8pm and costs £85 per person.
