There have been more reports of a man dressed as a 'killer clown' harassing women in Penryn over the weekend.

He reportedly got out of a car and ran at a woman and child walking on Treliever Road on Friday evening.

A witness described the man as having shoulder-length hair and being dressed in black with a black backpack.

He is thought to be in his early 20s.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called with a report of a public order offence (use threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm) in Penryn at around 9.20pm on Friday 13 September.

"An unknown person wearing a clown mask reportedly got out of a vehicle and ran towards a woman and a child walking on Treliever Road.

"The suspect, believed to be male, is believed to be aged between 20 and 25 and was wearing a black hoodie and black shoes and was wearing a 'Pennywise' mask.

"Officers attended the scene and carried out an extensive search of the area. The local neighbourhood team have also been informed.

Last week a man dressed as a clown reportedly chased two women and a young girl near Green Lane.

Another resident saw a man in a clown mask driving around allegedly asking children to get in his car.

Reports of a 'killer clown' in Penryn first surfaced last year, when a man wearing a mask was seen peering through the window of an exercise class at Penryn Rugby Club.
