A MAN in his 50s suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash in St Day yesterday evening.

Emergency Services rushed to the scene just after 5.30pm after receiving reports of an accident on the B3298, at the junction with Vicarage Hill.

The driver of a SEAT was taken to Treliske Hospital, Truro, in a life-threatening condition.

Specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall Police’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended, along with a Forensic Collision Investigator.

A fire crew from Tolvaddon Fire Station and a flexi duty officer also attended the scene together with paramedics. 

The road was closed for several hours to allow an investigation of the scene.

Police thanked the public for their assistance and patience while they investigated the scene and are appealing for any witnesses of this collision to telephone 101, quoting log 733 of 16/09/19.
