Plans for ten flats next to a historic Falmouth pub have resurfaced as a developer is seeking advice on a redesign.
An application for permission to build ten flats and a shop next in Smithick Hill next to Beerwolf Books was withdrawn in June.
A developer is now seeking pre-application advice on a revised design.
The original application faced a significant number of objections from both the public and planning consultees.

Cornwall Council's planning officer Mark Ball found that the plans in their original form did not sufficiently adhere to planning regulations.
He cited objections from the council's flood authority officer, public disapproval and potential adverse impact on neighbours and nearby grade II listed buildings as reasons for refusal.
Mr Ball said in a letter to the applicant that the reasons for refusal were too significant to be dealt with by revisions to the existing application.

He invited the applicant to withdraw, saying that he would recommend the application for refusal.
In his letter he also offered the applicant free pre-application advice if the plans were withdrawn and re-submitted.
