Tae Kwon Do students took turns cutting off their instructor's hair for charity.

Students of the GTUK Falmouth Tae Kwon Do club helped to cut off fourth degree black belt instructor Chris Peake's in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Sporting a new look, Mr Peake was pleased to have raised £400 with the help of students, parents, family and friends at Laburnum Hall on the day.

Chris' wife Melinda said: "He's wanted to do something to raise money for cancer research for a while and he saw about Brave the Shave and thought it was a brilliant thing to do.

"They all took turns using the scissors and clippers. It all went really well, they enjoyed giving him different hairstyles.

"I think the consensus was that he looked like Gru from Despicable Me.

"Some people think it suits him, some people think 'not really'.

"It just makes me laugh."

The martial arts expert regularly donates to local charities and hopes that his stunt will inspire youngsters to raise money for worthy causes.

Donations are still coming in, and anyone who wishes to support the cause can find out more information on the JustGiving page: bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/chris-peake/.
