A WOMAN has been given a suspended jail sentence for twice driving whilst disqualified.

Faye Caroline Welch, aged 26, of Ventongoose Road, Truro, admitted committing the first offence in a Vauxhall Astra between September 13/14 on the A30 at St Erth.

Last Friday, September 20 - the same day as her court appearance - she drove a VW Golf on the A390 at Threemilestone and also drove without insurance.

Welch was given a 12-week jail term suspended for two years.

She was banned from driving for 40 months and ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A WOMAN who exceeded a 70mph speed limit has been banned from the roads for six months.

Rebecca Jayne Medlin, aged 25, of Trewen Road, Budock Water, admitted committing the offence in a Ranger Rover on the A30 near Bodmin on February 7.

She was fined £320 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.

BREAKING a 30mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a Truro man.

Andrew Nichols Hall, of Penwethers Crescent, admitted committing the offence in a Ford Mondeo in Newquay, on February 1.

He was fined £107 and ordered to pay £150 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His driving record was endorsed with four points.

A PENZANCE man has been made the subject of a restraining order.

Matthew Dean Stevens, aged 26, of Chy An Gweal Estate, admitted making 535 phone calls to a woman between March 31 and April 6 this year, which amounted to harassment.

The order prohibits Stevens from contacting the victim directly or indirectly.

He was also fined £193 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A MAN who drove without insurance, a licence or MoT has been fined.

Manatas Leikunas, aged 26, of Fraddam Road, Fraddam, admitted committing the offences on the B3280 at Bosence Road, Leedstown. He was driving an Audi.

He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points. 

EXCEEDING a 60mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a Penzance man.

Nopanan Moon, aged 28, of Pendennis Road, admitted committing the offence in a BMW at St Erth on March 21.

He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points. 

A CAMBORNE man drove without due care and attention and with no insurance.

Mark Pollard, aged 34, of Edward Street, admitted committing the offences in a Peugeot on June 14 at East Hill, Camborne.

He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points. 

EXCEEDING a 50mph speed limit resulted in a fine for a Redruth man.

Richard Thompson, aged 30, of Trickys Hideaway, Tolgus Mount, admitted committing the offence on the A30 at Roseworthy on March 25. 

He was fined £479 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £47 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

A LANNER man was caught speeding.

Stewart Togneri, aged 39, of Tayberry Drive, admitted breaking a 30mph on the old A30 at Blackwater. 

He was fined £146 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

DRIVING a motor van at excessive speed has resulted in a big fine for a 39 year-old man.

Stefan Roger Woolley, of Trevella Lane, Trispen, admitted driving a Renault Trafic on the A30 near St Erth at a speed in excess of 50mph.

He was fined £415 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £41 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.
