ASSAULTING a woman and destroying the window of a town centre bar has resulted in a suspended prison sentence for a 23 year-old man.
Tyler Mitchell Tresidder, c/o Carn Brea Lane, Pool, admitted destroying a window of Bear Bar in Truro, to the value of £153.60.
He also pleaded guilty to assault before Truro magistrates on Monday.
Both offences took place between March 7 and March 10 this year.
Magistrates sent him to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, citing "gratuitous, unprovoked violence, in drink, in a town centre on unsuspecting members of the public".
His offences also revoked a community order which had been imposed by magistrates on September 24 last year.
He had received the order after taking a vehicle without consent and assaulting two police officers during an incident on March 4, 2018.
Tresidder must also follow a rehabilitation activity requirement and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay a total of £353.60 compensation and £85 costs.
