Due to forecast high winds and heavy rain this weekend, organisers have taken the difficult decision to cancel the South West Outdoor Festival at Penrose.

The event was due to take place today, tomorrow and Sunday at the estate near Porthleven.

Alastair Cameron, National Trust general manager said: "We have been planning our SWOF festival for the past year and were looking forward to welcoming festival goers to Cornwall for the first time, but visitor safety must be our priority.

"We do appreciate that this decision will be a great disappointment for those due to attend."

Refunds will be processed within five working days.  If anyone has any questions they are asked to call 01326 222170 or email lizardandpenrose@nationaltrust.org.uk

South West Outdoor Festival is organised by the National Trust. The annual adventure festival was launched on Exmoor in 2016 and has travelled to a new site within the region each year, with weekend campers and day visitors invited to come along and explore the trails, tales, ales and aquatic adventures possible at each location.
