In the last two weeks you have printed complaints from the residents of North Parade about the work going on in Coastline Wharves.

Back in the early 60s when I left school I worked for a local haulage company, our lorries and many other companies worked out of there, they had ships discharging all sorts of storage, fishing boats unloading all times of the day and night and not one complaint from the residents.

Properties change hands, new apartments built even down to the water's edge.

What I would like to say to the new residents is: if you move into a property next to a church, expect to hear bells ringing.
