A WOMAN who failed to ensure that her children attended school regularly has been given a community order.

Joanne Doyle, aged 35, of Murdoch Close, Redruth, admitted two charges between September 24, 2018 and May 17, 2019.

She has been placed on a curfew for six weeks and must adhere to a rehabilitation activity requirement.

She was also ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge.

DRIVING without insurance has resulted in a fine for a Camborne woman.

Stevie Alexandra Tolcher, aged 23, of East Charles Street, admitted committing the offence on February 9 in a Peugeot on Tolgus Vean.

She was fined £253 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with six points.

A COMMUNITY order has been imposed on a 52 year-old man who assaulted a police officer.

Stephen John Way, of Killivose Road, Camborne, was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months, after pleading guilty to the offence.

He was also ordered to pay £52.20 compensation, £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A 39 year-old man failed to provide a specimen of breath during the investigation of an alleged offence.

Mathew James Beer, of Pink Moors, St Day, admitted committing the offence on August 12.

Magistrates imposed a community order and also banned him from driving for three years.

The order includes an alcohol treatment requirement for six months and he will also be placed under electronic monitoring for four weeks.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge.

A TROON man drove without due care and attention.

Andrew John Eddy, aged 29, of Grenville Gardens, admitted committing the offence on December 16, 2017 at Illogan Highway.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five points.

Eddy also admitted speeding on the A30 at Innis Downs on January 21, 2019. For that offence his licence was endorsed with three points.

A PORTHLEVEN man failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have committed an offence.

Robert McWilliams, aged 54, of St Peters Way, was found guilty in his absence in court. The offence took place on April 8.

He was disqualified from driving for six months and fined £180. He was also ordered to pay £300 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

FAILING to stop his Ford Mondeo and driving without insurance has led to a fine for a 47 year-old man.

Simon Michael Pearce, of Horsdowns Road, Leedstown, admitted committing the offences on July 27 on Boiler Works Road, Camborne.

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Oliver Borissow, aged 36, of Polglaze Close, admitted committing the offence in a large goods vehicle on March 27.
