The desperate owners of a missing family dog have offered a reward for finding her as they revealed more information entering a third day of her disappearance.

Olive, a female border collie, went missing on Saturday afternoon in Porthleven.

Owners Steve and Tara Keenan Trethowan said she vanished "in a split second" on a walk on the coastal path near to Tye Rock car park.

More than 50 volunteers were out searching for her yesterday, including a friend with a search and rescue dog.

Tara said this morning: "Yesterday the SAR dog determined that Olive did not run from the path towards Tye Rock car park, but that she did go to the cliff edge, directly opposite the path, and towards the addit and the old path, but not on the new path.

"All fields surrounding that triangle have been checked numerous times. The beach has been searched from the slip to Gunwalloe several times too."

She described Olive as "very distinctive", with one blue and one green eye, and wearing a grey and orange harness.

Offering a reward for her safe recovery, Tara added: "Today is day three; somebody must have seen Olive on Saturday. She went missing at just before 1pm. There were lots of dog walkers out at that time."

Last night there were a couple of possible sightings, with a collie seen running from Carminnow Creek at Degibna and a dog heard barking towards direction of the bird house Penrose.

"All have been checked but please keep looking.

"Please call me on 07730 985868 if you see her or are told of a possible sighting, I beg you to call. Somebody must have seen something."

The appeal has been shared via the Facebook page for The Bridal Studio in Helston, which Tara runs, and on the doglost.co.uk website.
