The Met Office has issued a weather warning with strong winds expected in much of the south west on Friday.
Cornwall, most of Devon and parts of south Wales will be affected.
Strong winds are expected between 4am and 4pm.
Delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.
Short-term loss of power and other services is possible and some communities near the coast may be affected by spray and/or large waves.
