Nigel Farage is holding a rally in Cornwall on October 14.

The Brexit Party rally will be held in Pool as part of its nationwide We Are Ready tour.

There will be speeches from South West MEP Ann Widdecombe, Brexit Party Chairman and MEP Richard Tice, and Prospective Parliamentary Candidates Robert DeVito-Boutin, followed by a question and answer session.

Mr Farage said: “Our political class in Westminster has done everything in their power to subvert the democratic will of the British electorate, from its desperate attempts to force through Theresa May's European treaty, (which is Brexit in name only - or BRINO), to trying to revoke article 50 and scrap the whole thing entirely.

“They've been dragged kicking and screaming towards an October 31 deadline that at this point they are almost certain to miss.

“Why not join us in Camborne next Monday October 14, to listen to the arguments about why we need to leave with a clean break Brexit on October 31.”

Robert DeVito-Boutin, The Brexit Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Cornwall, added: “The EU has made a lot of empty promises to the people of Cornwall over the years.

"They've promised investment and regional development that would create jobs and yet there is still high unemployment in the region. Cornwall’s once-thriving fishing industry, the beating heart of coastal communities, has been so hammered by EU bureaucracy it is fighting for survival.

"Much is made by the Remain camp about the ‘EU money’ Cornwall has received and how the region will suffer without it. But the truth is the EU doesn’t have any money. It is our money in the first place!

"The Brexit Party believes in investing directly in the regions so local people can decide for themselves where investment is best directed.”

He added: “Our PPCs stand poised to make a real and lasting change to British politics. As a sovereign nation, a new era of opportunity and prosperity will flow from our fishing waters, service industries, and manufacturing.

"We understand that politics and prosperity does not stop at the M25.”

The event will be held at Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Station Road, TR15 3QS. It will run from 7pm to 8.30pm.
