A Cornish marina has been recognised as one of the best in the country.

Mylor Yacht Harbour has reached the final of the British Yachting Awards' Marina of the Year 2019.

It is up against five others for the top spot, and is the only facility in Cornwall to reach this stage.

The awards held on December 2 at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London celebrate the best the sailing industry has to offer.

Mylor Yacht Harbour joins Largs, Suffolk, Weymouth, Poole and Eastbourne as finalists in the Marina of the Year category which honours “the marinas which go above and beyond in their offering to the sailing community... and provide the best onshore facilities, warm welcomes and options for sailors.”
