Falmouth Oyster Festival was officially opened this morning and love was in the air.
It is Tom and Tamara Blakemore's fifth oyster festival together as a couple.
They first hit it off at the 2014 event where Tom was an oyster shucker and Tamara an oyster seller.
It was meant to be and the pair have not looked back since, going on to get married in 2017.
Now the happy couple are celebrating their fifth oyster anniversary with their two boys Jonah and Zachary.
Other festival-goers in Events Square this morning included Falmouth's mayor Steve Eva who gave a speech to open the festivities.
Children from Falmouth school took to the stage for some nautical-themed song and dance.
Award-winning chef Emily Scott then gave a demonstration on how to prepare scallops and sea bass in front of an eager crowd.
There was a diverse selection of food stalls offering everything from Cornish-grown chilli peppers to tasty Turkish sweets.
The festival is sponsored by St Michaels Hotel and runs until Sunday.
