Three people aboard a boat off Coverack Beach had to be towed back to shore after losing power yesterday.

Lizard Lifeboat launched just before 3.45pm after receiving a call for assistance.

The urgent call came in when the boat was stranded 300 yards from the beach held in place by its anchor.

The 16 foot vessel was then towed back into Coverack Harbour by a passing boat before the lifeboat arrived.

RNLB Rose remained on scene for a short time to make sure all was well with the vessel and those on board.
