School children from two primary schools in west Cornwall enjoyed a tour of the hangars at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose to learn about aircraft and flying.
The pupils from schools in Marazion and Pendeen were each given a close-up look at the Merlin anti-submarine helicopters of 824 Naval Air Squadron.
A highlight of the trip was a visit to the Culdrose fire station, to see the fire engines and try on some of the kit.
Lieutenant William Vinnell and Lieutenant Matt Ford showed the children around and taught them about the different aircraft used at RNAS Culdrose.
