A number of Penryn's past mayors met with residents in an event hosted by current mayor Charles 'Chaz' Wenmoth.
Other dignitaries including Saracen Award holders and local MBEs also attended the event on Sunday at the town hall.
Mayors from Truro, Porthleven, St Austell, Redruth, Camborne, Hayle and Falmouth visited the town to meet their counterparts.
The event was organised by councillor Mary May, who was herself mayor between 1999 and 2000 and then again from 2007 to 2010.
Former town clerk Eric Dawkins was also present and gave a very insightful summary of local history and the role he played.
Following the speeches and photographs guests enjoyed refreshments.
