Emergency Services rushed to the aid of two people for whom there was a "concern for welfare" yesterday morning.
Two people attempted to return to Penryn Quay from their yacht's tender, but ran into difficulties.
Falmouth Coastguards attended the scene just after 10.30am and first met with the person who had raised the alarm.
It was established that the tender to the vessel had broken down and the occupants were stuck on the vessel in atrocious weather conditions.
The tender was out of reach for coastguards, so they called on the assistance of the inshore lifeboat, which was able to bring the occupants back to the safety of the quay.
