A COMMUNITY order has been revoked by Cornwall magistrates after a man admitted breaching it.

James Stephens, aged 28, of St Petry, Goldsithney, appeared before magistrates last Wednesday. 

The order had been made on January 7 when he was sentenced for dishonestly gaining £7,760 by making a false representation that he needed medical treatment and was stranded from home, early last year.

Stephens has been placed under electronic monitoring, requiring him to adhere to a curfew for eight months until June 30, 2020.

A WOMAN who damaged car to the value of £350 has been given a two-year conditional discharge.

Charlotte Dawn Louise Young, aged 30, of Menadue Court, Reawla, admitted damaging a silver Peugeot 306 in Hayle on March 2.

She was also ordered to pay £175 compensation. 

A PONSANOOTH man admitted breaking a 70mph speed limit on the A30 at Victoria. 

Lee Peter Beer, aged 38, of St Michaels Road, committed the offence in a BMW 320d on April 15.

He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

EXCEEDING a 60mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a Redruth woman.

Sarah Jane Drew, aged 32, of Trenoweth Estate, admitted committing the offence on the A30 at Marazanvose in an Alfa Romeo on April 20.

She was fined £70 and orderd to pay £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with four points. 

A DRINK driver who was three times over the limit has been given a community order.

Paul Lynch, aged 44, of Trafalgar Fields, Madron, admitted committing the offence in St Stephen on October 5.

He had 104mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath when driving a Vauxhall Meriva. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He will be electronically monitored for eight weeks and was banned from the roads for two years.

Lynch was also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 costs. 

He also admitted driving without a licence, for which there was no separate penalty. 

A MAN who broke a 60mph speed limit has been fined.

Ryan James Morris, aged 26, of Mount Pleasant, Hayle, admitted committing the offence in a Renault Trafic on April 15 on the A30 at Victoria. 

He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.
